Incorporating fitness into family life not only sets a great example for kids but also creates fun bonding moments. We’ve found that getting active together keeps everyone engaged, builds healthy habits early, and—most importantly—makes fitness feel less like a chore and more like a lifestyle. Here are five ways we make exercise a family affair!

1. Home Gym Workouts for Everyone
We love having our kids join us in the home gym, and with the Amazon kids’ weight set and treadmill, they can feel like part of the workout crew! While we lift weights or hit the treadmill, our little ones can “work out” alongside us in a way that’s safe and fun. This makes exercise feel like playtime, and they love being part of the action! The treadmill has a monitor that tracks distance and time, but the kids actually have to walk or run to make the pad move. The weight bench can be used for all ages. The foot weights move up and down and the bar disconnects from the bench to use independently or while laying down.
2. Family Walks with a Twist
Taking regular family walks is a simple but effective way to stay active together. Our daughter loves pushing her baby doll in a stroller, while our son enjoys riding his bike alongside us. Not only do we get moving, but it also becomes a great time for conversation and connection. Fresh air, a little exercise, and quality family time—it’s a win-win! My dogs love it too!


3. Local 5K Runs & Fun Races
We make races a family tradition! From Easter color runs to snowy winter 5Ks, our kids love being part of the experience. When they were younger, we pushed them in jogging strollers through the courses, letting them take in all the sights and fun. Afterward, we celebrate with hot cocoa and pizza—because balance is key!
4. Golfing Together as a Family
Golfing isn’t just for adults! We bring our kids along and all walk the course while carrying our own bags. They have small golf bags with just a couple of clubs, making it easy for them to participate. It’s a fantastic way to get steps in while introducing them to a sport they can play for a lifetime.


5. Guided Workouts with Our Proform Vue Mirror
